From the band’s bio:
“The Don’t Tell Darlings play a mix of long-forgotten and well-remembered tunes, with a healthy scattering of Miss Millie’s fine originals. Their repertoire weaves threads of the old-time, Western Swing, early country and blues, bluegrass, and jug band traditions. Imagine a Depression-era mix tape. At any given moment, the Darlings might be harmonizing like song birds, raising a proper ruckus, or both. Featuring classic stringband instrumentation of banjo, fiddle, guitar and bass, their sound is characterized by tight female harmonies and a penchant for songs that let everybody know: these girls will fix your wagon, and that’s a promise.”
The show starts at 8pm/$5.

From the spectacularly successful Live Arts production of “Hank Williams: Lost Highway”, Dallas Wesley and the Drifting Cowboys bring the music of Hank Williams to our stage. If you saw the performance, you know that Dallas does Hank better than Hank himself. And, like us, you most likely left the show wanting more. We are very pleased to present Dallas Wesley and the “Drifting Cowboys” for an evening of nothing but Hank’s music.
“Just as Williams is described, Wesley (a Lynchburg-based singer-songwriter) has the dark, beady eyes Williams was known for, could easily “change clothes in a shotgun barrel,” and has the yodel to prove it. His Driftin’ Cowboys—Thomas Gunn on Bass, Jeffrey Justice on Fiddle, Bill Staton on guitar and Bahlmann Abbott on pedal steel—sound like the real deal.” —C-ville Weekly Review
The show starts at 8pm/$10.

Two sweet-as-honey Americana groups. Annie and the Beekeepers is a folk and country inspired trio that met at Berklee College of Music in December 2006. The members of Annie and the Beekeepers came to Berklee from across the country with different musical backgrounds – Annie Lynch is a self-taught guitarist and the Beekeepers’ principal singer and songwriter from Cape Cod; Ken Woodward is from Charlottesville and plays acoustic bass and sometimes stomps on a snare at the same time for fun; and Alexandra Spalding, who lends her beautiful voice to create the Beekeepers’ signature harmonies, grew up playing cello in orchestras in Northern California.
They’ll be joined by local favorites The Honey Dewdrops, who have earned top honors in the Prairie Home Companion’s young songwriters’ competition and our own annual songwriters’ contest.
With special guest Keegan Dewitt.
