Spring Fund Drive!

May 9, 2011   //   by adminsara   //   Events  //  Comments Off on Spring Fund Drive!

We need your help!

It was a long, difficult winter, and we’re very glad to see the warmth of spring and summer arrive.

We’re extremely grateful to everyone who donated to Rapunzel’s Further Ado Foundation in 2010, and grateful to all those who attended our Holiday fundraiser.

Unfortunately, we fell short of raising the money needed to cover our winter operating expenses by $1500.

As of this posting, there are over 500 people who actively visit the Rapunzel’s website. If every one of you donated just $3, we could keep the wolves at bay for a little while longer.  The people who do the most work to keep this place alive are not getting paid; your donation ONLY goes toward operating expenses.

Just $3. That’s less than you’d pay for a cover charge. It’s less than you’d spend in gas to drive over here. It’s less than many of the drinks on our menu. But if enough of you donate, you can make sure that the things you currently get for free will still be here: free wifi, free Wednesday jams, free open mic nights, that free first refill on your coffee.  You can make sure that Rapunzel’s will still be here at all.

Also, please keep in mind that ANY donation you make is tax-deductible, as we are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

And if you don’t feel comfortable donating money, come see one of the great shows we have lined up this month! We need more warm bodies on these couches than we’ve been seeing lately.

Thank you, and we hope to see you soon!

Brian Patrick

May 3, 2011   //   by adminsara   //   Events  //  Comments Off on Brian Patrick

Rapunzel’s is pleased to reintroduce you to Brian Patrick.

Brian remains one of the smoothest and most soulful songwriters we’ve ever had the pleasure to host.  He’s won and placed in our annual Songwriting contest and in recent years has put together a band that creates a level of rootsy rock cohesion that perfectly showcases his brilliant creations.

For this show, Brian will take you back to the days when we first met him: performing as a solo artist, with perhaps an accompanist or two.  In this way, the nature of his songs shines most clearly.

The show starts at 8pm/$5.  Listen at www.brianpatrickband.com.
